FALL WEDDING INSPIRATION - PRIVATE NAPA ESTATE
After a heat wave, the temperatures in the Bay Area have dropped a bit and a sense of fall is in the air. Pumpkins are appearing on stoops, our Instagram feed is filled with soup recipes, and we are fully assessing our sweater situation. This also tends to be our busiest time of the year, with weddings in full swing, but this year we’ll be living vicariously through the past few seasons’ celebrations.
As you can imagine, Fall is a wonderful time to host a wedding. For one, it’s harvest season, so the selections for your menu and your décor are endless. Additionally, the temperature tends to be more mild, allowing for both outdoor and indoor gathering options. And lastly, this goes without saying, but the changing of leaves creates one incredible backdrop.
When Jordan + Jon reached out to us about their plans for a fall wedding, we jumped on the opportunity. From visions of pumpkins and gourds to a detailed wine selection plan, we loved working with Jordan + Jon to plan their private Napa Valley estate wedding. We began the venue search early, as fall in the wine country tends to book up quickly. We knew that some of the more commercial spaces were not the right vibe, so we focused our search on private properties with limited events per year. J+J immediately fell in love with their venue - from its secluded location to the restored barn, and onsite accommodations.
Once the venue was confirmed, we jumped into booking catering and working on design. We turned to Jessica Lasky to assist with creating a seasonal family style dinner menu, including wine pairings. We collaborated with Ricci from Rust & Flourish, to capture fall via flowers, and worked with Rachel from Brightline Studio to incorporate clean, contemporary elements via stationary + signage. We brought in modern lace runners and hemstitched linen napkins to soften the long wooden dinner tables.
Ivy Hill Entertainment provided live music for both the ceremony as well as cocktail hour. DJ Sammie from Heart of Gold DJs took over the dance floor, while the Giggle + Riot provided photo booth fun for anyone taking a break from dancing.
Gretchen Gause was there to capture the full day, included the gentlemen enjoying pool time while the ladies got dolled up by April Foster’s beauty team. Check out all the fall inspiration below!
