Back in July, we worked with Nina + Felix to plan their wedding celebration. They envisioned an intimate ceremony with immediate family, followed by a larger celebration a few days later. They even built in a day in between to spend at Carneros Resort + Spa enjoying the newlywed life, which honestly was a brilliant idea. A bit of relaxation to enjoy the moment? Yes please!

For their intimate ceremony celebration day, they kicked things off with a group lunch at Farmstead. This was a great way for Nina + Felix to welcome everyone to Napa and for everyone to meet in a laidback setting. After a family-style meal service, the group headed back to Carneros to get ready for the evening ceremony.

Right before sunset, and after the first look, the couple gathered their immediate family to say their vows under a chuppah overlooking the rolling hills. With 16 guests, Nina and Felix were able to incorporate everyone in the ceremony. Whether they read a blessing or wrangled Eva the husky puppy, every single person was part of the process.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered for a quick champagne toast and challah blessing before heading to dinner at the Archer Hotel in downtown Napa. There, we set up one long table lined with seasonal local flowers by Bewilder and personalized custom menu cards by Bourne Paper Co. The group of 18 enjoyed a multi-course meal, followed by cake made by one of the bride's sisters. Nothing was rushed, the formalities were not formalities, and the group was fully present. The families came together talking, laughing, and toasting the newlyweds.

The next day, the couple spent time enjoying the Carneros Resort + Spa facilities, relaxing before the big party a day later. We loved that our couple was able to soak in the moment while we took care of all the details. And we strongly feel that doing a more intimate ceremony is perfect option for certain couples. As always, do what feels right for the two of you.
